Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASECONTACT: Binnie Myles Birmingham Water Works (205) 244-4220 Server infrastructure upgrade to affect telephone, computer systems Customers may call alternate number during weekend outages (BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jan. 12, 2012) – The Water Works Board of the City of Birmingham will experience some telephone and computer outages. The systems will be affected from midnight on Friday, Jan. 13 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, and again from midnight on Saturday, Jan. 14 until 6 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15. These outages will occur while BWWB upgrades its network, computer and telephone system infrastructure. As a result of these upgrades, BWWB will be able to provide better service to its customers. Customers who need to contact BWWB during the outage can call (205) 288-6497.
